I am welcoming 2009 with some changes to the website. First, since you are already here, you know that the website has changed. The previous site is now owned by the company Fast Algorithms Consultants, based in Superior, Colorado, which offers professional consultancy in the areas of fast numerical algorithms and their parallelization on traditional as well as emerging platforms.
Other than that, this site will remain true to its original intentions: commenting on numerical techniques, which, admittedly, I have not been doing very regularly, and logging my experiences in bicycling.
This wasn’t supposed to be a rest day. I was scheduled to go for a long and tough ride, possibly the Superior-Boulder-Ward-Nederland-Rollinsville-Golden Gate Canyon-Superior loop, with Brendan and Rick, as one of the last long rides before the Triple Bypass. But ignoring the warnings from creaking joints and aching limbs, I played cricket yesterday and paid the price. Like a cruel punishment, pulled the hamstring while running:) So I had no choice but to stay at home and watch television. But the good news is that I did bat reasonably well [to my standards, that is].
So, after watching Broken Trail, an AMC movie starring Robert Duvall, I had nothing else to do and decided to play with WordPress to see if I can also become a citizen of the ‘blogosphere.’ It does not seem all that difficult.
So this is my first post, possibly not to be viewed by anyone ever:)
